Do you know about EVS ?
This sunny morning we have to complete a task for working as a team with other volunteers and also by making interviews to young people during our midterm. By these interviews we get informed about their knowledge for travelling and working abroad and in the same time we informed them more about the opportunities of doing an EVS.
In the beginning we decided to go in the city center and make some interviews to young people from 18-30 years olds by asking them if they ever study or travel abroad or they know about EVS program?! And we got surprised from their answers.
Some young people we interviewed weren’t informed about EVS program or they haven’t done any Erasmus+ but the others we asked are doing EVS programme here in Cyprus with ten months duration of their contract. They explain us how they knew about EVS and that they already recommend it to other students, friends and relatives. It’s an amazing experience that all of young people should live at least once, that will help them meet with other cultures and in the same time knowing better their culture and themself.
This small experience that we had outside, on the streets of Nicosia it was funny and creative for us, the Peperopoulos family. We experienced once again the beginnings of working in a new multicultural team formed by both genders. Freedom of thoughts and speech by expressing ideas and equality is very important nowadays.
So last but not least working as a team with young people from different countries was creative for us because it motivates us to write this article, also interact with local young people and foreigners to understand better their knowledge European projects for young people and probably in our future by knowing better how to work with others who don’t speak the same language .
