Cinema for Deaf, Blind and Deaf and blind people 🎥🎞

Everyone should be able to go to the cinema, however, some of us are suffering from diseases that make them deaf, blind or deaf and blind.
For this article, Edlyne and I have watched several videos about this topic, and we are glad to share our new knowledges with you. Personally I found this very useful, because often in our daily lives we forget about these special people and don’t take their needs into consideration.
We had the opportunity to note that cinema is really a place that joins everyone together, without any barriers.
Now let’s explain a little bit how it works, the blind people in the cinema receive a headset that provides an audio commentary, with additional information compared to the dialogue of the film. for example, are described moods, actions, landscapes .. and deaf people read subtitles containing captions with indications for noises and sounds.

Among all the videos that we have watched, Edlyne was very impressed by this guy who was working on a connecting glove. Indeed when you are blind and deaf one of the ways to communicate with others is to use the LORM Alphabet. This glove is revolutionary because it can communicate with not only pc smartphones but also other gloves. Thanks to it, deaf and blind are no longer isolated.

Another point is that cinema is a powerful art. It makes you travel in time. It is an extraordinary experience. We also watched a video about actors that were blind deaf or blind and deaf. It was interesting because they were providing a theatrical play for everyone.  The beauty is that they even have their own place where you can experiment with a dinner in the dark or a coffee where you have to mime or use the sign language to order. They have transformed their disabilities into something very beautiful.

They live in the present.  Happiness is an accomplishment and we never felt like these people were unhappy. We were also very astonished by the girl who went to Harvard. She never considered herself like missing something. She has understood that standing up for her rights could make a huge difference. It has started with a menu that she was not able to read and change all the cafeteria policy. She became a lawyer and even met Barack Obama when he was president.
To sum up, we have noticed that blind, deaf, and blind and deaf people may not have all their senses but they have something special: they feel more than us.
