Welcome To Cyprus

Hello everyone! How are you?

This week we have welcomed a new volunteer, Jeannette from Guadeloupe, a French island in the Caribbean. It feels good to be all together!

Jeanette was in Cyprus last month for a youth exchange, but she was in a different city so for our Imap activity we show us the neighborhood of Strovolos. We spent a very good time together.

Now I would like to share with you my impressions about Cyprus. It will be 3 weeks that I am here tomorrow. For a person who did not know anything about Cyprus 3 months ago, I have to say that I am very happy to be here. I am astonished by the fact that I don’t miss my Island Martinique. Thanks to the technology it is not a problem to keep in contact with my family despite the 6 hours of jetlag. Yes, when it is 6 am here it is Midnight on my Island.

My project is called Youth Entrepreneurialism and I love it! I feel like everyone should enjoyed an ESC project in their life at least one time. It is a huge opportunity to learn in a non-formal way. I don’t know if you heard about the movie then the Netflix ‘show Dear White people? Well I feel like these characters because one of the main activities is the OTI RADIO SHOW.

Jeanette does not speak English very well, but it is ok because she will be able to learn a lot. It is very interesting to see each other progresses.
