Turning points
It’s already been one month since I landed in Cyprus and so far the experience is full of positive vibes; the people I’ve met, new places I’ve discovered and new activities I’ve been involved in. When I left my country, Italy, I was full of hope and fear; at the end of the day I was leaving a lot of things behind in order to live something different, probably the experience I had always been wanting to live, maybe what I really needed and desired at one of most important turning point in my life. I left my job because it didn’t live up to my desires anymore and I realised that it definitely was not what I desired for me; however, before deciding to change direction, I went through some tough times, with the mind full of thoughts and me wondering a lot about my future; but finally I released myself from overthinking and I took action by opting for this Erasmus plus project.
The activities of the organisation I work for are very interesting and the people I face with very inspiring; furthermore I’m already in love with the radio shows that I host every week and the degree of freedom we’re given in doing activities and developing new ones 😀.
Recently we had our on arrival training with other volunteers and it was amazing: the non formal education methods we got to know, the outdoor activities and the people!!!
Finally, I’m very happy for the decision I made to join this project and Cyprus, so far, seems to be an attractive place to discover.
