Tea VS Coffee
Everyone is starting a new week in every part of the world and there are a few people excited about it. You just got out of your lazy or very active weekend (either way it’s very nice) and when Monday comes most of us want to extend the previous weekend just a bit more.
When the alarm goes off, it’s very hard to leave our warm and comfortable bed,we still feel very sleepy and the big percentage of people to wake up need a little help with caffeine.
For many people, a good dose of caffeine is the main reason for choosing tea or coffee. The substance acts as oil for our engine when we still feel rusted early in the morning.
The minority of this percentage don’t really drink coffee so instead they drink tea and usually there is a big battle between the coffee and the tea. So I thought why not do myself a mini battle about these two. SO here we go!
Tea was first discovered by the emperior of China in 2737 BC while he was boiling water under a tree. When leaves unacidentally fell into the boiling water,he tasted it and was surprised by it’s goodness. Tea then became popular amongst scholars and priests in China and Japan who drank tea to stay awake, study and meditate.
Coffee seems to appear later on and it’s believed to have appeared in Ethiopia where legend says a goatherdman noticed his goats becoming hyperactive when eating certain berries from a tree. Coffee then spread to monks and monasteries where they drank to keep alert while praying.
Now that you know the history, let’s see about the caffeine boost:
In coffee there is approximately 40 mg of caffeine and in tea approximately 20 mg. So if you want a big cup of energy you probably go for coffee. Still, tea can also give you energy.
The health benefits:
This drink of tea is amazing at hydrating your body and replenishing your fluid intake while coffee can do the same but not just as much. There are a ton of antioxidants in tea, more than you’ll get in coffee and antioxidants as you may know, help you provide a healthier mind and body. Tea can help reduce stress and can help streghten the immune system, preventing some diseases.
Coffee is better at stimulating muscle through activity and has shown to reduce slighty your appetite and the occurency of diabetes, even though tea helps you to really reduce weight, mostly in the waist line.
For finishing, just a quick curiosity!
Tea and coffee are known for leaving in long-term a pigmentation in your teeth,so which one is a bit better?
In an article, a specialist at the Bristol University affirms that the pigmentation of tea tend to fix more in our enamel so in this case, coffee seems to not cause that much trouble as I actually thought it did!
Too much sugar and a lot of dose abuse of the drinks is probably the big villain in here, so begin to reduce bit by bit and everything will work out!
